Rakim hands down one of the greatest emcees ever to bless the mic. His flow was truly a one of a kind and took hip hop from very nursery rhyme pattern to the flows we hear today. Your favorite rappers favorite rapper! Peep game!
Academy of Lions “Do the Work”
Academy of Lions “Do the Work” – Directed by Stuart McIntyre from Steam Films on Vimeo.
Found this video and got geeked lol! I’ve done a cross fit class with the amazing Dhani Oks and he really kicked my ass and it was a light class in their old location. Dhani is the real inspiration behind BMB and showed me how to run this site. really inspiration guy. I’m glad to see big things happening with the Academy of Lions.
Physical Graffiti (Mare139 & Amigo)
Physical Graffiti (Mare139 & Amigo) from Marco Woldt on Vimeo.
As a graffiti artist and B-Boy I find this really interesting. This concept is incredible and I know Mare has been working on a linear version of the bboy physical movement for a while. To see the video of the process is really cool. The really interesting part of this collab though is the cultural mix. Bboy Amigo mixes traditional Turkish dancing into his bboying, and the results are beautiful and natural. Peep game and enjoy!
QRock – The Toronto Bronx Native
Here’s a dope mini documentary on Bboy/Emcee Qrock MZK R2R. I’m really feeling this video, been a huge fan of Que since I’ve been in Toronto. He carries on the traditions of bboying, rocking and emceeing and holds down Graffiti writers as myself. Easily one of the most influential cats in Toronto, he definitely inspires me to rep hip hop to the fullest.
Check it out, learn something, Peace!
