Planet VI – Pray For My Enemies feat. Kardinal Offishall

Planet VI gives us a dope new video to their “Pray For My Enemies” featuring Toronto OG Kadinal Offishall! They gat some bad bitches in this video for real! I love theme of this video with the message “You can’t judge a book by its cover”.

Planet VI are definitely the ones to watch, Their American Dream” mixtape is really dope, they don’t stick to 1 sound, flexing from acoustics to just raw hip hop. Download mixtape Here.

Waiting for that “Fuck You Too” featuring 2 Chainz Video, I hope that’s in the works.

QRock – GRAFFITI MIXTAPE VOLUME 3

The Graffiti Mixtape Vol.3 features T-Dot’s well known B-Boy and MC: Qrock, as he takes you on a continued Hip Hop journey teaching Bronx tradition, speaking on Toronto politics and demonstrating the real life drama of the Native reservation. With his truly unique style, Qrock showcases his microphone skills on instrumentals we all know and love. Mixed down by DJ Dough Low, get ready for more of the Gold School Style Wars.
(Taken from Soundcloud directly).

This his 3rd installment of the Graffiti Mixtape, I find it’s his best one to date. I highly recommend you dig back and hear the others for yourself.

QRock – The Toronto Bronx Native

Here’s a dope mini documentary on Bboy/Emcee Qrock MZK R2R. I’m really feeling this video, been a huge fan of Que since I’ve been in Toronto. He carries on the traditions of bboying, rocking and emceeing and holds down Graffiti writers as myself. Easily one of the most influential cats in Toronto, he definitely inspires me to rep hip hop to the fullest.

Check it out, learn something, Peace!

BJ The Chicago Kid – His Pain feat. Kendrick Lamar

Such an incredibly beautiful song from BJ The Chicago Kid and Kendrick Lamar, it has a smooth jazz feel to it with piano and bass line. Kendrick’s pain-struck flow that has you fight back that lump in your throat, and taking in the story. BJ The Chicago Kid taking you to that place… Yup perfection, Enjoy! from his Pineapple Now-Laters out now!

Joey BADA$$ x Capital STEEZ – Survival Tactics

17-year-old Brooklyn native Joey BadA$$ debuts his video for “Survival Tactics” the first release off his solo Project “1999″ slated to drop late march 2012. The song features fellow Brooklyn based artist Capital STEEZ . Joey along with Steez are original members of the BK based movement Pro.Era (Progressive Era).

Cats like these keep me hyped, I’m not going to do that tacky thing comparing them to The WU or even new cats from A.$.A.P. But the rawness and the straight up dope lyrics and word play make these guys the dudes to follow. I’m a fan and look forward to more!

VADO – I SEE YOU (BLACK PEOPLE)

Vado is one of my favorite new artist, His mixtapes are dope ad The Slime Flu 1 and 2 album are great. This track is off Slime Flu 2 and has powerful visuals, love the vintage feel to it. Perfect for Black History Month!
